Aircraft & Engines Records Manager

Reports to:    Director of Technical Services

Department:   Supply Chain

Job Summary: The Aircraft & Engines Records Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the technical records and technical documentation relating to the AeroVision fleet of Engines and Aircraft, as well as Engines and Aircraft under review for purchase, and for sale. The position also requires the employee to provide technical records review during lease returns, shop visits and purchases to ensure the engines meet all FAA/EASA and company requirements.  This position requires the employee, on occasion, to travel to the location of the asset and/or records to complete the required tasks.

Records/Data Management:

  • Set up and administer policies and procedures for a recordkeeping and archive system to support all engine and aircraft products owned and/or managed by the company.
  • Develop and maintain a physical and electronic record retention program.
  • Develop process to manage accurate review of engine and aircraft records during pre-buy assessment/purchases, maintenance events and sales.
  • Prepare and provide access to the engine or aircraft records relating to sale, purchases, lease returns, and maintenance events.
  • Perform technical audit on engine and aircraft records, primarily, but not limited to Embraer, Pratt and Whitney Canada, and Rolls Royce products for completeness, accuracy and current status of product.
  • Compile and present data on life limited parts, back to birth trace, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, operating and shop visit history.
  • Collaborate internally to obtain required data for purchases, sales, leases, lease returns, and shop visits.
  • Attend industry conferences to stay current with applicable engine and aircraft programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

  • Experience with regional aircraft/engine makes and models.
  • High-level of detail and accuracy is required.
  • A keen focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong background in engine and aircraft records and technical documentation.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work well with all levels of management.
  • Ability to work effectively from remote locations.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in business related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of consecutive experience related to Regional aircraft and engine records
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Licenses a plus.
