Job Summary: The Quality Manager promotes, develops, and oversees compliance of the company quality system.  Effectively assuring compliance of customer requirements by managing quality policies, standards, procedures, and programs while driving and facilitating continuous improvement.



Primary Functions:

  • Develops long and short-term strategies for the quality department with focus on growth and efficiency opportunities.
  • Develops and maintains appropriate relationships with external and internal customers and vendors to facilitate the successful accomplishment of business objectives.
  • Maintains ASA-100 accreditation, Quality Manual and associated material.
  • Develops and maintains record storage plan, which includes the short and long-term housing of physical records and digital information.
  • Maintains approved vendor/supplier list and quality history.
  • Manages customer, regulatory agency, and third-party quality audits.
  • Develops and maintains the corrective/preventive action system and ensures follow-up and closure of corrective/preventative action requests, as well as verification of effectiveness.
  • Ensures compliance to ASA/FAA Quality requirements, as well as establish (as necessary) and document, standard operating procedures.
  • Builds quality into work.  Oversees company training records to ensure process are consistent with quality objectives.  Be aware of current quality levels versus target levels.
  • Develops and achieves departmental/company goals and controls.  Makes suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity.
  • Leads Problem Solving events and implements change as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in quality systems and audits.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrates time management skills.
  • Uses logic and reasoning to identify solutions to problems.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, coach, and teach others.


  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Statistics, Six Sigma or other analysis experience preferred.
  • Advanced level computer skills.
